Barista Shares Encounter with Customer’s Reaction to His Coffee Art
A barista shared the reaction of his customer to his latte art, saying, “1st time ako mapagalitan ng customer.”
A barista is a person who specializes in preparing and serving coffee-based beverages, particularly espresso-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos. Baristas typically work in coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Recently, Barista Ariel, a Facebook user, shared a memorable encounter with a customer, where his latte art received an unexpected reaction. The post immediately spread like wildfire online and elicited comments from the netizens.
Ariel recounted that for the first time, a customer scolded him for covering their coffee with latte art. The customer was initially upset, questioning why the art was placed on top of their coffee, making it seem as though it was a mistake.
The barista watched as the customer carefully removed the cup’s lid and took a photo of the latte art.
The latter thought that was the end of it, but then the customer made a call, probably to their child, as the voice on the other end sounded young. The customer boasted the coffee art to its child.

However, Ariel couldn’t hear the rest of their conversation because he had to attend to other customers. It makes him proud as a barista when customers appreciate their work.

“1st time ako mapagalitan ng customer kasi bakit daw ako nag lagay ng art sa coffee nya tapos tinakpan ko…. So yun habang sinusundan ko sya ng tingin dahan dahan nyang tinanggal ung takip tapos pinikturan nya.
Akala ko okay na yun, after nya picturan may tinawagan sya, anak nya cguro basta bata pa ung voice. At sabi
“look oh eto ung sinsabi ko sayo na coffee dito sa office” amazed na amazed ung bata after nun di ko na narinig usapan nila kasi may mga sumunod na ako na customers.
Wala lang share ko lang, as a barista kasi once our customers appreciate our work talagang nakaka touch at nakakaproud,na meron kaming napapasaya sa simpleng art lang sa cup of coffee nila. Parang na paka worth it lahat ng hirap namin para lang matutunan ang Art sa coffee.
