UST Support Staff Went Viral for Marching w/ Graduates During Graduation Ceremony
The support staff at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) went viral for marching alongside during the graduation rites.
Graduation refers to the ceremony and associated activities that mark the completion of a course of study at a school, college, or university.
It commemorates the accomplishment of students who have fulfilled all the requirements to earn a degree, diploma, or certificate from their educational institution. There is usually a formal commencement ceremony where graduates wear academic dress.
Family, friends, faculty, and administrators attend to celebrate the graduates’ achievements. Commencement addresses or speeches are given, often by a notable guest speaker providing words of wisdom to the graduating class.
The ceremonial conferring of degrees/diplomas takes place, with graduates crossing the stage to be recognized individually. Academic honors and awards may be bestowed upon exceptional graduates during the ceremony.
Recently, the Facebook page “The Flame” shared video clips showing the general support staff of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Faculty of Arts and Letters proudly marching alongside during the unit’s graduation ceremonies on Monday, June 10, 2024.
