Boss Toyo Sells Diwata’s Cooking Pot for Substantial Amount
BOSS TOYO – The content creator and entrepreneur made a substantial profit by selling a pot he bought from internet sensation Diwata.
To recall, Boss Toyo added another valuable item to his collection when Diwata sold him the first cooking pot used in his Paresan business. This transaction occurred during an episode of “Pinoy Pawnstar” when Diwata visited his shop and recounted his journey of starting the Paresan business on Roxas Boulevard while being homeless.
Diwata initially wanted to sell the pot for 3,500 pesos, but Boss Toyo negotiated the price down to 3,000 pesos. To increase the pot’s value and authenticity, Diwata signed it and even offered his flip-flops as a bonus, which he declined.
Boss Toyo planned to display the pot in his upcoming museum dedicated to Philippine pop culture, preserving Diwata’s legacy. He explained, “Yung buhay niya galing sa hirap, umangat ‘yung buhay. Yun ang ginagawa ni Pinoy Pawnstars, ang maipaalala sa lahat ng henerasyon at mananatili tayong institusyon.”
Apparently, Boss Toyo sold the cooking pot he got from Diwata. In a video, he is shown leading the bidding for Diwata’s first pot used in his Paresan business, which he purchased for P3,000 and sold for over P50,000.
Initially, he planned to display the pot in his museum as a symbol of Diwata’s rise from hardship, aiming to inspire future generations. However, he decided to resell the pot due to the high bid, expressing his regret to Diwata but emphasizing the significance of the P50,000 offer.
“Yung buhay niya galing sa hirap, umangat ‘yung buhay. Yun ang ginagawa ni Pinoy Pawnstars, ang maipaalala sa lahat ng henerasyon at mananatili tayong institusyon,” he said. Jayson also mentioned that Diwata plans to sell him more items in the future. As of now, Diwata has not responded to the sale of his first cooking pot.
