Xian Lim and Iris Lee Are in a Relationship
XIAN LIM – The Kapuso actor-director has confirmed the true status of his relationship with film producer Iris Lee.
In his exclusive interview with Esquire, released last Thursday, May 2, he revealed that they are “in a relationship.” He added, “Yes, I’m seeing Iris. Just to clear everything, to clear all the speculations. We are seeing each other and we are very happy.”
According to him, he has now decided to speak out and clarify matters concerning the cause of his breakup with Kapamilya star Kim Chiu. It was in December 2023 when Kim admitted that their relationship of over a decade had ended. Although she did not disclose the reasons, she mentioned that the decision to break up was mutual.
There were many rumors suggesting that Iris played a role in their separation. Xian said, “I am ready to talk about it. It’s just all over the place and, I think, ang dami nang dagdag, ang dami nang bawas. Naglabas naman kami [ni Kim] ng statement to clarify things.”
Xian Lim addressed rumors and clarified aspects of his personal life in a straightforward statement. He expressed his respect for the supporters and the 12-year relationship he shared with Kim Chiu, acknowledging that their breakup was due to unexpected life events and not because of another person involved romantically.
He emphasized that Iris Lee, his current partner, is a skilled filmmaker and a work partner, denying any romantic involvement that led to his previous breakup. Xian also refuted rumors about being married or living with someone else, stating that he only lives with his family.
Despite ongoing rumors and public scrutiny, Xian stressed that neither he nor Iris deserves the negative attention, as much of what is said about them is not true. He expressed sadness over the unnecessary involvement of others in these rumors, highlighting that life’s unexpected events should be met without undue speculation or negativity.
