Sandro Marcos has a Message to His Mom, FL Liza Marcos
SANDRO MARCOS – The House Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative has a simple message for his mother, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, for the upcoming Mother’s Day on May 12.
In a media interview last Wednesday, May 8, Marcos was asked what message he had for his mother. “I hope na huwag siyang magalit nang masyado… Not to be too mad anymore,” he said.
He explained that his mother is not accustomed to the excessive publicity: “Naninibago lang siya. Like she’s not used to being exposed to this much publicity so I understand where she’s coming from.” He added that, unlike him and his father, President Bongbong Marcos, the First Lady is new to such publicity.
“Well to tell you the truth, sanay na ako. I’ve been in politics long enough to know that that’s how the game works. And my dad, same thing, it’s nothing new. There have always been accusations… there always have been mud-slinging so that’s nothing new,” Sandro Marcos said. “My mother is not quite as used to it as we are, as the both of us. So, you know, her reaction from that interview I think that people see is I guess, is one of a wife who is being protective of her husband,” he added.
It can be recalled that the First Lady made headlines last April due to her interview with Anthony Taberna where she addressed the issues allegedly thrown at her and her family. She also left a message for her critics.
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos responded defiantly to her critics, saying “Bring it on, honey.” She emphasized that she will not stoop to their level, suggesting that her detractors’ negativity only makes them appear worse, while she remains confident in her stance. She ended with a reference to karma, indicating her belief that actions have consequences.
