ANTONETTE GAIL – The partner of social media influencer Whamos Cruz was criticized for dressing up as Mary for her “Piliin mo ang Pilipinas” entry.

Antonette dressed up in a costume inspired by Mary, the mother of Jesus. However, her choice of costume did not sit well with everyone, particularly Catholic devotees who felt it was disrespectful.

Netizens criticized Antonette Gail for using a saintly image inappropriately in her content. One questioned the mismatch between the saintly image and Antonette’s personality, urging honesty and self-respect. However, instead of apologizing, Whamos Cruz defended himself, stating, “Hindi po ako ‘yung nag-install ng video na ‘yun. Ang nag-install po nung video na ‘yun sa entry ko is ‘yung editor ko….Ako na po ‘yung humihingi ng pasensya sa editor ko sa nangyari.” He further justified, “Ginamit naman po ‘yun sa tamang paraan, hindi naman po sa maling paraan, hindi naman po sa pangit na video ‘yung pinasukan nung video niyo po.”
