It is noteworthy that following Marcos’ statement on Thursday, May 16, disavowing any acquaintance with Guo, the mayor reposted numerous photos depicting them together. During an interview on Saturday, May 18, President Bongbong Marcos remarked that the photos in question wouldn’t serve as evidence since he doesn’t turn down anyone who wishes to have a picture taken with him.

“That proves nothing,” said PBBM.

“You know how many pictures I take during the campaign? Siguro isang libo sa isang araw. Lahat naman ng humihingi ng selfie hindi ko hinihindian,” Marcos added.

In relation to this matter, Bongbong Marcos stated that the inquiry into Guo’s citizenship and purported ties to the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in Tarlac will persist.

“Let’s allow the Executive side and the Legislative side to continue our investigation. Wala pang definitive na conclusions,” said PBBM.

When Senator Risa Hontiveros inquired about Guo’s birthplace and the homeschooling provider of her teacher, Guo responded with “hindi ko alam” at “hindi ko matandaan.” Guo reportedly recorded her birth at home at the age of 17 and asserted that she lacked a diploma due to her continuous homeschooling, facilitated by a tutor while residing on a farm.

This interrogation of Guo’s background follows an investigation into her suspected participation in the raided POGO in the province. Guo allegedly registered her birth at home at approximately 17 years old and cited homeschooling, under the guidance of a tutor on a farm, as the reason for her absence of a diploma. This examination of Guo’s credentials arises from an inquiry into her purported involvement in the raided POGO in the province.
