Kapamilya star Francine Diaz is currently making headlines online after allegedly interrupting the performance of the OPM band Orange and Lemons.
The band was about to begin their performance during an event in Occidental Mindoro when the actress was called on stage to greet the crowd and briefly perform.

ORANGE AND LEMONS – The OPM band’s lead singer called for respect for artists following an onstage mix-up during a performance in Occidental Mindoro, where actress-singer Francine Diaz also performed.
A video that spread across social media showed the band preparing to perform when the event host unexpectedly invited Francine onto the stage. As Francine engaged with her excited fans, a visible discussion among the band members and some others took place just behind her. Briefly pausing, she turned to request her music be played, but the background discussions persisted.
Francine then performed a Taylor Swift cover while the band intermittently strummed their guitars. After her performance, she thanked the audience and left the stage.
Later, in a more extended video, Clem Castro, the band’s vocalist, addressed the crowd, inquiring about their well-being and explaining the delay in their performance. “Kasi dapat kaninang 11 pa kami dito e. So sana naman walang sumisingit,” Clem stated, emphasizing the need for respect among artists. “Yun lang. Respeto lang ba. So ayon lang gusto ko lang sabihin ‘yon. Ayokong masira ‘yung pag-eenjoy natin ngayong gabi.”
The incident sparked discussions on social media, and Francine later posted on her Instagram story, emphasizing mutual respect and thanking those who stayed late.
Meanwhile, Orange and Lemons is a Filipino pop rock band known for their distinctive blend of alternative rock, indie pop, and pop rock music. The band was originally formed in 1999 in Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines by lead vocalist and guitarist Clem Castro, along with Mcoy Fundales, and brothers Ace and JM del Mundo.
The band disbanded in 2007 due to internal differences but reunited in 2017 with the original members, except for Mcoy Fundales. They are behind hit songs such as “Hanggang Kailan (Umuwi Ka Na Baby),” “Heaven Knows (This Angel Has Flown),” and “Pinoy Ako,” the theme song for the Philippine version of the reality TV show “Big Brother.”
