Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao Vows To File Charges Against Man Who Hurt Taylor Sheesh During Performance In Bayambang, Pangasinan
NIÑA JOSE-QUIAMBAO – Bayambang, Pangasinan Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao promised to file charges against the man who hurt drag star Taylor Sheesh during her performance.
Filipina drag artist Mac Coronel possesses an impressive collection of dazzling outfits reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s iconic looks, such as the sequin bodysuit from the Lover era, the gold fringe dress from Fearless, and the catsuit from Reputation.
With a dedicated fan base, she captivates the stage, prompting the crowd to bounce with excitement, holding their phones high as they enthusiastically sing along to every lyric.
However, the star commanding the stage isn’t Taylor Swift herself, but Taylor Sheesh, a call center agent turned drag sensation, adored by Swifties both in the Philippines and beyond.
Her journey to fame began late last year when Mac Coronel, an avid Swift fan who transforms into Sheesh for performances, was unexpectedly invited to perform at a Swift music listening party.
The electrifying performance was captured and shared on social media, generating widespread interest. When Coronel debuted as Sheesh at a Quezon City shopping mall near Manila in May, an astonishing 10,000 spectators turned up, according to event organizers. Videos of the euphoric performance, featuring fans passionately singing along, quickly went viral online, enabling Coronel to take an indefinite leave from her call center job and embark on a nationwide tour.
During one of her recent tours, Taylor Sheesh was hurt by a man during her performance at the Bayambang, Pangasinan fiesta. The town’s mayor, former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) star Niña Jose-Quiambao, expressed her frustration about the unsettling incident on social media.
“This is traumatic. Literally. I’m sharing right now,” said Mac.
Niña also took to social media to condemn the incident and pledged to ensure justice is served.
“I will not tolerate homophobia and physical abuse in my town. I will make sure that JUSTICE will be dealt with. I am sorry to Taylor Sheesh that someone assaulted her during her performance! Don’t worry. Authorities have the person in question and this matter and incident will be dealt with accordingly. BYB is a peaceful and safe town and I CaNNot CONDONE this stupidious act! I am so mad and so angry!!!! SHAME on YOU!!!!” she wrote.
