Diwata Throws Shade at Those Imitating His Pares Overload Business

Diwata said, “I’m the original, pirated lang kayo.”

DIWATA – The social media personality and entrepreneur threw shade at those imitating his “Pares Overload” business.

Diwata, also known as Deo Balbuena, is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and is popularly referred to as the “Pares Overload King.” Originating from the province of Samar, Diwata moved to Manila to seek better opportunities and employment. Despite the hardships of living under a bridge and initially working as a gay construction worker, Diwata’s determination led to the establishment of a successful 24-hour pares business.

Diwata’s entrepreneurial journey began while he was employed as a beautician, later expanding into selling coffee, cigarettes, and candies. The viral internet personality garnered significant attention and success through his venture, Diwata Pares Overload, which offers unlimited rice and broth with a side of soft drink for only PHP 100. Diwata’s business also features additional items like fried chicken, grilled pork belly, and sausages, expanding his culinary offerings.

His efforts have not only transformed his living conditions—allowing him to buy his own vehicle and improve his housing—but also made him a well-known figure in the social media landscape. Diwata’s story has been featured on the award-winning news magazine show, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, highlighting his rise from adversity to success.

In 2019, Diwata participated in the “Miss Q and A InterTALAKtic edition” of It’s Showtime, where he won the Beks in ChukChak Award. His story is an inspiring testament to the power of resilience and hard work in overcoming life’s obstacles.

Recently, the social media personality and entrepreneur threw shade at those imitating his “Pares Overload” business. He mentioned that he doesn’t mind others copying his venture but emphasized that he is the original. “Isa lang ang masasabi ko sa mga gumagaya. Wala namang masamang gumaya, ganoon naman tayong mga Pinoy, copy business pero tandaan n’yo: I’m the original, pirated lang kayo,” Diwata stated.

To recall, it was just recently when Rosmar Tan also launched a “Pares Overload” business. The TikTok star flaunted her new business, “Rosmar Pares Overload,” which offers unlimited broth, unlimited rice, and even “unlimited swimming” at her R Mansion Resort & Restobar in Calauan, Laguna.
