Cryptic posts from Carmina Villaroel and Cassy Legaspi Amid Revelation of Darren Espanto
DARREN ESPANTO – Actress and television host Carmina Villaroel and her daughter Cassy Legaspi left cryptic posts on their respective Instagram accounts following the revelation of the Kapamilya singer.
Darren made rounds online after revealing during the debut of It’s Showtime on GMA Network that he’s single, with some asking if he and Cassy have called it quits. The two were rumored to be in a romantic relationship in the past few months due to their sweet photos together posted on social media.
However, he clarified his relationship status with the television host, stating they were just friends. “Makulit sila! Sabi ko best friends lang kami eh,” Darren said. “Best friends talaga. It’s something a lot of people won’t get. Hindi ko alam paano explain pero syempre andun ‘yung pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa,” he added.
Amid his revelation, Cassy took to the social media platform Instagram, where she left a cryptic post featuring Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Favorite Crime’, a song that reflects on a past relationship that turned toxic and ultimately ended. In the lyrics, Rodrigo explores conflicting emotions of love and betrayal, acknowledging the pain caused by the other person’s actions while grappling with the fond memories they shared.
Her mom, Carmina, on the other hand, left a cryptic quote that says: “Don’t expect the same in return,” which means that one should not anticipate receiving equivalent treatment, actions, or emotions from someone else. It implies that despite offering something—be it love, kindness, favors, or any other form of gesture or effort—there’s no guarantee or obligation for the other person to reciprocate in the same manner.
As of press time, Darren Espanto has yet to issue any reaction regarding the cryptic posts of Carmina Villaroel and Cassy Legaspi. He’s currently being shipped to Kapuso actress Jillian Ward.
