Supporters of TAPE Inc. initiated a signature drive to reinstate Tahanang Pinakamasaya on GMA
TAHANANG PINAKAMASAYA – Supporters of Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Incorporated are urging GMA Network to reinstate the defunct noontime show in their midday lineup through a signature campaign.
Initiated by PROKNOY TV Channel, the petition aims to prevent around 200 employees from losing their jobs due to the discontinuation of the midday show produced by TAPE, INC. The petitioner emphasized the importance of retaining TAPE Incorporated under GMA NETWORK, INC.
“Ngayong nagtapos na ang Tahanang Pinakamasaya ang noontime show na produksyon ng TAPE, INC. sa GMA NETWORK, INC. Nais ba nating mawalan ng trabaho ang mahigit 200 empleyado nito? Hindi. Kaya nais po namin kunin ang inyong suporta para manatili sa poder ng GMA NETWORK, INC. ang TAPE Incorporated,” said the petitioner.
As of now, the petition has garnered 190 signatures. Apparently, there’s no update yet on what noontime show will replace Tahanang Pinakamasaya.
“Tahanang Pinakamasaya!” was a variety show aired on weekdays and Saturdays, rebranded from “Eat Bulaga!” due to a trademark dispute. The dispute stemmed from an internal conflict within Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.’s management, resulting in the resignation of hosts and production members from “Eat Bulaga!”
The show resumed with new hosts and segments after the dispute was resolved. However, due to low ratings, it ended effectively on March 8, 2024. TAPE Inc., noted that despite their best efforts to save the show, they have reached a mutual agreement to finally call off the show. The production company is referring to their partnership with GMA Network.
The Kapuso Network, on the other hand, expressed appreciation for TAPE’s partnership over the years and acknowledged the difficult decision to end “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.” They thanked TAPE for its significant contribution to noontime programming and expressed gratitude with the phrase, “Maraming salamat, Kapuso.”
