RR Enriquez Defends Resort in Chocolate Hills

RR Enriquez on the resort in Chocolate Hills: “I don’t see anything wrong”

RR ENRIQUEZ – The self-proclaimed “Sawsawera Queen” defended the resort constructed within the Chocolate Hills in Bohol.

On Instagram, the former television personality expressed her support for constructing a resort in the UNESCO Heritage Site, believing it could boost tourism. She mentioned how other countries, like Switzerland, have resorts around mountains. However, Enriquez criticized the appearance of the Captain’s Peak Resort in Bohol, stating it lacked appeal and charm for tourists.

“I don’t see anything wrong with this especially if it will help our tourism…. I remember going go Switzerland year 2016 and meron sa taas ng bundok na famous parang hotel with jacuzzi resort sila dun (I forgot the name) Pero nakapunta na dun yung friend ko si @justynmalloreyes Even sa Mt. Titlis they have a restaurant… Yun napuntahan namin ni frog.. Talagang pinupuntahan ng mga tao… Tourist attraction talaga sya,” she said.

“To be honest ok sana yung idea na ito.. Kaso bakit po hindi man lang ginandahan? Hindi man lang instagramable? Paano po tayo makaka attract kung wala pong nakaka attract CHERET,” she added.

She stressed the need for a better design, urging for a higher budget allocation. Her post received mixed reactions from netizens, with some agreeing with Enriquez’s stance while others found fault with the resort’s appearance. While some appreciated her opinion, others described the resort as unattractive and suggested a more careful design approach.

“Nag iisip ka ba? Tourist attraction ba tingin mo Jan sinira Yung nature at Isa pa Ang Bohol itself ay tourist attraction na nature ndi kagaya nyan pag pinuntahan Yan ng mga tao unti unti na yang masisira opinion ng ndi nag iisip,” one netizen commented.

Meanwhile, The Captain’s Peak Garden and Resort faced backlash after it was discovered operating despite lacking necessary permits within the premises of Chocolate Hills. As a result, the resort decided to temporarily shut down.
