Here’s Pokwang’s Reply to Netizen Who Called Her “Laos”
POKWANG – Actress and comedian Marietta Tan Subong a.k.a. Pokwang responded to a basher who called her “laos.”
Even amidst Holy Wednesday on March 27, 2024, Pokwang refused to ignore criticism from a detractor on X (formerly Twitter). A fan relayed a message from the basher who labeled her as “laos.”
Claiming that Pokwang’s move from ABS-CBN to GMA-7 in “Kamuning” has rendered her obsolete, the detractor remarked, “laos na si pokwang simula lumipat sa kamuning. Prang nagsisi nga daw na lumipat hehe kala kc nila hindi makakabangon ang abscbn”
Seeking clarification, the fan asked Pokwang, “Mamang true ba? @pokwang27”
In a sharp retort, the TikToclock host exclaimed, “Jusko saan galing mga animal na ito? dapat ito ang tinatapon sa China! mga mapag gawa ng isaping walang kwenta!”
Additionally, Pokie expressed contentment with her current position at GMA-7 and emphasized her profound respect for ABS-CBN, her former network. She also acknowledged TV5, which occasionally offers her projects.
Meanwhile, there’s still uncertainty about Pokwang’s estranged partner, American actor Lee O’Brian, permanently leaving the country. Pokwang disclosed this while addressing critics who commented on Lee’s Instagram post on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024, suggesting he had chosen to leave the Philippines voluntarily.
During an interview with Pokwang on February 9, she revealed that Lee had already expressed his intention to depart. She stated, “Nakarating na sa akin na nagliligpit-ligpit na. Para sa kanya, para sa akin din ito, para sa kapayapaan naming pareho.”
