Mary Jane Santa Ana Guck, known by her stage name Jaclyn Jose, was a renowned Filipino actress in both cinema and television, garnering international acclaim. Her notable achievements include winning the Best Actress award for “Ma’ Rosa“ at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
Recognized for roles in films like “Private Show,” “White Slavery,” and “Santa Juana,” Jaclyn, at 60, passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of many admirers who fondly remember her impact on the entertainment industry.
Netizens mourned her loss, recalling her iconic roles, particularly as “Magda” in “Mula sa Puso,” portraying Claudine Barretto’s mother. Jaclyn was also remembered as the mother of former actress Andi Eigenmann. In a previous article, Andi penned a beautiful poem for her late mother.
Andi’s daughter, Ellie, recently shared a touching photo on Instagram featuring herself and her late grandmother, Jaclyn Jose. Though no caption accompanied the image, Ellie’s love for her grandma was palpable. Andi, in an emotional press conference, confirmed Jaclyn’s sudden passing. Andi, along with her fiancé Philmar Alipayo, currently resides on Siargao Island with their children.
