Passengers disembarked from the bus due to the overpowering fart smell
FART BOMB – A bus had to abruptly stop when numerous passengers complained about an unbearable odor that suddenly filled the vehicle.
Farting in confined spaces such as buses, planes, jeepneys, and similar modes of transportation is widely regarded as impolite and inappropriate for several reasons. Firstly, the odor emitted from flatulence, caused by gases like hydrogen sulfide and methane, can quickly fill the enclosed space, making it uncomfortable and unpleasant for fellow passengers.
Additionally, the sound and sensation of farting can cause discomfort or embarrassment to those nearby. Furthermore, farting may also indicate underlying digestive issues or gastrointestinal discomfort, raising concerns about potential health risks and the spread of illnesses. From a cultural perspective, passing gas in public spaces goes against social norms and etiquette standards that emphasize maintaining decorum and respecting others’ comfort.
While passing gas is a natural bodily function, doing so in confined spaces with others present is generally considered disrespectful and inconsiderate. It is typically more polite to excuse oneself and find a more private or appropriate setting if the need arises.
Speaking of which, a bus had to abruptly stop when numerous passengers complained about an unbearable odor that suddenly filled the vehicle. In a video shared by netizen Remi Roberto, all passengers were witnessed leaving the bus heading to Taytay, Rizal.
According to Roberto, someone released gas (fart) inside the bus, causing passengers to feel sick. “Kung sino man nag paputok ng fart sa loob ng bus ganda ng trip mo,” the netizen commented.
Many passengers couldn’t conceal their frustration as their travel time was prolonged due to the incident. They were then transferred to another bus to prevent further delays. As of now, the individual responsible for the odor remains unidentified.
