Alden Richards Reveals He Experienced Criticism From Late Actress Jaclyn Jose
ALDEN RICHARDS – Kapuso star Alden Richards revealed he experienced ‘panlalait’ from multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose.
Alden Richards has also experienced “panlalait” in terms of his acting from the late award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose. This was revealed by Alden when he spoke at Jaclyn’s wake.
The actor’s revelation is part of a TikTok video shared on March 9, 2024, by a TikToker with the handle ms_marivic1308, a dedicated Alden fan account. At the beginning of his speech, it is immediately evident that Alden is emotional, and his voice is almost breaking.
Alden Richards said, “The reasons why I didn’t prepare any speech goes to show kung gaano po ako hindi ka-ready sa pag-alis ni Tita Jane.” He also shared his experiences working with the late award-winning actress.
“The first time I worked with Tita Jane was during Mundo Mo’y Akin.
“That’s the first time.”
‘Mundo Mo’y Akin’ was a teleserye that aired on GMA-7 in 2013, featuring other Kapuso stars.
Alden continued, “Then hindi po… ang role ko po dun is, since apo po niya si Louise Delos Reyes, ako po yung humahabul-habol [Louise’s character].”
Here, Alden mentioned Jaclyn’s impressions of his performance. “So, nakatikim po ako ng mga lait in terms of scenes kay Tita Jane.”
He claimed she told him, “Ah, wala…”
Meaning his execution did not meet the veteran actress’s standards.
“May mga nakukuha din po akong ganun.”
It was during this time that Alden Richards learned how Jaclyn Jose worked with fellow artists.
“Parang si Tita Jane kasi may gate iyan e. ‘Tas [‘tapos] may security guard din siya sa gate na yun na siya rin.
“’Tas, i-ano ka muna. Kumbaga sa trabaho, screening muna bago ka niya papasukin sa buhay niya.”
Eventually, Alden became close to Jaclyn, working with her on the Kapuso prime-time series ‘Ilustrado’ (2014) and ‘The World Between Us’ (2021-2022). Jaclyn also posted about Alden several times on her IG feed and referred to him as her “bunso” (youngest).
