Diamond Star Maricel Soriano Opens Up About Her Exes
MARICEL SORIANO – The Diamond Star admitted that she’s on good terms with all her exes except for one.
Maricel was a guest on Korina Sanchez’s “Korina Interviews” on the Net25 YouTube channel, released on January 21, 2024. Korina asked Maricel if she is friends with all her ex-partners. Maricel nodded but immediately paused and pondered, saying, “Parang nagla-lie ako doon.” She clarified, “Hindi. Hindi lahat. Isa lang, actually, ang hindi.” She continued, “E, hulaan niyo na lang kung sino. I cannot say the name.”
The multi-awarded actress emphasized that she considers most of her ex-partners as friends. “Pero majority [of them] okay ako sa lahat, except for one person.”
Maricel did not disclose the identity of the former partner who is not her friend until now. Maricel was previously married to Edu Manzano in 1989, but they separated after two years. It is clear that Maricel and Edu remain friends, as both have openly stated that their relationship is amicable.
She also had a past relationship with former action star Ronnie Ricketts. They adopted a young boy, Marron, who is now 37 years old. Their relationship also ended in separation. Following Ronnie, Maricel dated businessman Cesar Jalosjos. They have a son, Sebastien, who is now 31 years old.
In Korina’s interview, Maricel consistently conveyed that she is doing well without a love life. “I’m okay because I’m okay. Without a man in my life, okay lang ako,” emphasized the dramatic actress.
There were moments when Korina attempted to inquire about Maricel’s love life, but Maricel made it clear in her statements that she is not interested. “Wala akong panahon. Kasi gusto kong magtrabaho lang nang magtrabaho para sa mga anak ko naman,” she said.
Korina jokingly mentioned that Maricel really does not want to talk about her love life. Maricel responded, “E, kasi nga ngayon busy ako. Baka ma-‘Who is this?’ ko pa siya, di ba?” She playfully pretended to have a phone conversation, emphasizing her current focus on work.
