The reunion movie between John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo is no longer happening according to Cristy Ferminute
JOHN LLOYD CRUZ and BEA ALONZO – The reunion movie between the two will no longer push through, according to a report from the program “Cristy Ferminute” aired on February 23 on Radyo 45, 92.3 TRUE FM.
Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika shared that the actor declined the long-planned movie with Bea. As of now, the reason why Lloydie declined is still unknown.
The names Popoy and Basha, portrayed by JLC and Bea in the 2007 movie “One More Chance” directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina for Star Cinema, became famous, earning P152.7 million.
Almost all movies they starred in together were successful, prompting many requests for them to work on a project together again. Romel Chika also wonders why it didn’t push through since there seemed to be no problem, and supporters of Bea-Lloydie have long been excited for this reunion.
Based on reactions from loyal listeners and viewers of “Cristy Ferminute” on the OnePH YouTube channel, Lloydie might be avoiding issues, especially those involving Bea, and also because the actor’s love life is quiet, he might want to keep it that way.
The hosts of CFM also discussed why Bea and JLC didn’t have a relationship despite both being single during the times they worked on movies together. Nanay Cristy speculated that perhaps they only saw each other as friends.
Nevertheless, many still hope that one day, the reunion movie of Popoy and Basha will happen.
