Rumors have been surfacing about Alden Richards joining ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’
ALDEN RICHARDS – Rumors have been circulating online that the “Asia’s Multimedia Star” might become a host on “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”
However, in the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute” on Wednesday, February 28, showbiz writer Cristy Fermin denied these rumors. “Alam mo, napaka-fake nitong news na ‘to. Unang-una, hinding-hindi ito gagawin ni Alden dahil sa kaniyang pangako.”
“Kaya lamang, ang isa lang ng kwestiyon dito: Paano kapag sinabihan ng mga top executive ng GMA 7 si Alden bilang isang kontratadong artista ng network na kailangan na niyang sumalang dito sa [Tahanang Pinakamasaya], doon lamang ‘yon lulusot,” she added.
Cristy also brought up Alden’s earlier remarks amid the discussions about Tito, Vic, and Joey’s exit from TAPE, Inc. She mentioned Alden’s firm declaration that he wouldn’t accept any offers during that period. Nevertheless, Cristy remains concerned about Alden’s situation. She highlighted that if GMA 7 bosses insist on him participating in the noontime program, he could face substantial backlash.
Meanwhile, Alden, whose real name is Richard R. Faulkerson Jr., is an actor, host, ambassador, entrepreneur, artist, producer, and director. He earned the title of “Asia’s Multimedia Star” after receiving the Asian Star Prize at the 14th Seoul International Drama Awards in 2019.
Richards gained recognition in the entertainment industry when he landed acting roles in various television shows and films. Notable among these are “Alakdana,” “Tween Hearts,” “One True Love,” “Carmela,” “Ilustrado,” and “Imagine You and Me.” He also made significant contributions as a recording artist, releasing albums and singles under Universal Records and GMA Music.
However, Richards reached the pinnacle of his career when he was unexpectedly paired with Maine Mendoza on the long-running noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga!” This partnership, dubbed “AlDub,” became a phenomenon, catapulting him to widespread fame.
