Rea Gen Villareal is the grand champion of Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 7
TAWAG NG TANGHALAN – The grand winner of the seventh season of the amateur singing competition airing on It’s Showtime is Rea Gen Villareal of Caloocan City.
“Tawag ng Tanghalan” is a Philippine amateur singing competition that is part of the noontime variety television show “It’s Showtime.” The competition features aspiring singers from various regions in the Philippines who showcase their vocal talents and compete against each other for the title of the day’s winner. The contestants, also known as “contenders,” participate in daily rounds where they perform songs and face off against each other.
The judging panel, consisting of well-known music industry personalities, evaluates the performances and provides feedback. The judging criteria include vocal quality, stage presence, and overall performance. The contender who receives the highest score and successfully defends the “golden microphone” for five consecutive days advances to the semifinals.
Throughout the competition, there are various rounds, including face-offs, eliminations, and wildcard rounds. The season culminates in a grand finals event where the top contenders compete for the title of the season’s grand champion. The winner receives a cash prize, a recording contract, a talent management contract, and the prestigious title of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion.
Rea Gen Villareal of Caloocan City has been named the grand champion of the seventh season of Tawag ng Tanghalan. The power belter from Caloocan bested other grand finalists with a final score of 97.4%. She brought home 1 million pesos and a recording contract. Eunice Encarnada, on the other hand, placed second and took home three hundred thousand pesos, while Vensor Dumasig placed third with 100,000.
During the face-off of the Top 3 contestants, Rea Gen performed a rendition of Eraserheads’ hit single “Ang Huling El Bimbo.” She also received a standing ovation for her performance of songs by The Company. Rea Gen follows the likes of Noven Belleza, Janine Berdin, Elaine Duran, JM Yosures, Reiven Umali and Lyka Estrella.
