POKWANG – The comedienne reacted after being compared to the beauty queen-actress Ruffa Gutierrez.
Pokwang engaged in a heated exchange with a netizen who “advised” her to act like Ruffa. According to the netizen, who commented on Pokwang’s post on X (formerly Twitter), Ruffa is also separated from her former husband Yilmaz Bektas. However, it was claimed that Ruffa did not poison the minds of her children Lorin and Venice against their father, leading to their peaceful and happy life now.
Pokwang responded, emphasizing the vast difference between her and Ruffa, praising the actress and former beauty queen for her beauty. She also mentioned that they went through different struggles and experiences, stating, “Well hindi ako si Ruffa magkaiba kami sa itsura palang maganda sya malayo sobra, sa pangalan etc. so hindi pwedeng dapat ganito ka kasi ganito sya ok? magkakaiba tayo, magkaiba ng pain at pinagdaanan at pinagdaraanan wala kayong alam.”
The netizen also urged the comedienne not to involve her child with Lee O’Brian, Malia. The netizen reminded Pokwang that Lee is still Malia’s father, and she should spare the child from any negativity. Pokwang responded, “Hindi ko dinadamay ang anak ko excuse me! sya ang pabaya at may pagkukulang bakit laging sa nanay ang sisi?”
Previously, the comedienne revealed that her estranged partner, Lee O’Brian, is still in the Philippines despite a deportation order from the Bureau of Immigration. To recall, it was on December 12, 2023, that the Bureau of Immigration ordered Lee’s deportation based on a complaint filed by Pokwang, citing visa violations and the cancellation of his work-related visas. Lee is also on the government agency’s blacklist.
As of press time, Lee O’Brian has yet to break his silence on the remarks of his ex-partner Pokwang.
