RICHARD GOMEZ – The actor-turned-politician expressed his willingness to be paired with the young actress Andrea Brillantes.
Richard Gomez, an actor, model, and politician, gained fame in the 1990s for his roles in various films and television shows. He has also ventured into sports, particularly in fencing, representing the Philippines in international competitions. In his political career, he has served as the mayor of Ormoc City and later as a representative for Leyte’s 4th District in the Philippine Congress.
Andrea Brillantes, on the other hand, is an actress who started her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. She gained popularity for her roles in television dramas and has been recognized for her talent, receiving awards for her performances. She is known for her versatility in portraying different characters on screen.
In an interview with the Philippine Star, Richard mentioned his openness to being paired with any younger actress, including Andrea Brillantes. When questioned about the possibility of having romantic scenes with Andrea, Richard stated that he was prepared if it was a requirement for their project, saying, “Kung willing sila, di ba? Who am I to say no?” Despite the significant 37-year age difference between Richard and Andrea, he did not rule out the prospect.
However, Gomez dismissed the possibility of pairing with Kathryn Bernardo, who played his daughter in their previous film, “Three Words To Forever.”
Andrea has not yet provided any response to the lawmaker’s statement. It is worth noting that a similar pairing occurred between Aga Mulach and Julia Barretto in the movie “Ikaw Pa Rin ang Pipiliin Ko,” sparking mixed reactions from netizens. Some critics pointed out the substantial age gap between Aga and Julia, suggesting that it affected the chemistry between the two actors.
