Source of Ogie Diaz Denies Romantic Relationship Between Richard Gutierrez and Barbie Imperial
RICHARD GUTIERREZ and BARBIE IMPERIAL – A close source to the actor clarified to Ogie Diaz that there is no romantic relationship between him and the actress.
The two were seen together at a bar, and the source explained that they interacted for only a brief period as Gutierrez mingled with the various tables, including Imperial’s. Diaz shared this information on his YouTube vlog on Tuesday, January 9, addressing the dating rumors that arose after Gutierrez and Imperial were spotted together.
In his explanation, Diaz revealed that Barbie Imperial is one of the shareholders of the gastropub where the actress and Gutierrez were seen. As one of the owners, Imperial had an obligation to visit the establishment to entertain guests.
Diaz clarified that Gutierrez is friends with the other shareholders and engaged in table-hopping, sitting briefly at each table, including the one with Imperial. The comedian-talent manager emphasized that the moment was captured in a photo when Gutierrez sat at Imperial’s table.
According to Diaz’s unidentified source, Gutierrez is still feeling “sad” about the challenges in his marriage with Sarah Lahbati, but he doesn’t want to dwell on it. The source suggested that Gutierrez is enjoying himself and not isolating himself in his room all the time. “Nangungulila pa rin si Richard at nag-eenjoy siya kaya hinahayaan namin siya magliwaliw,” Diaz quoted his source as saying.
Gutierrez and Lahbati, who share two sons, have not publicly addressed the rumored separation. However, observant netizens noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. The Gutierrez family, including Annabelle Rama, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Raymond Gutierrez, was also unfollowed by Sarah, and in response, they did the same. Aside from unfollowing the Gutierrez clan, Sarah Lahbati has dropped the “SLG” from her Instagram name.
