Here is Rendon Labador’s reaction to the new title of TAPE Inc’s noontime show
RENDON LABADOR – The motivational speaker took to the social networking site Facebook, where he expressed his disappointment with the new title of TAPE Inc’s noontime show on GMA Network.
On January 6, 2024, the TV5 noontime show ‘E.A.T.,’ hosted by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon, along with the Dabarkads JoWaPao (Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros), Allan K, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Maine Mendoza, Ryan Agoncillo, Carren Eistrup, Miles Ocampo, and Atasha Muhlach, was formally replaced by ‘EAT… BULAGA!’
On the other hand, GMA-7 and TAPE, Inc. noontime show, formerly ‘Eat Bulaga!,’ changed its title to ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya!’ following the victory of TVJ in a copyright infringement case at the Marikina Regional Trial Court the previous day.
Among those who reacted to the new title of TAPE Inc’s noontime show is Rendon Labador. In a Facebook post, he noted: “JUST IN!!! Kaya pala ayaw ninyo mag palit ng title kasi antang* pala ninyo mag isip ng bago (emoji) Lalo kayong pag tatawanan ni JOEY DE LEON sa mga pinag gagawa ninyo. Ang dami daming magagandang TITLE sa mundo, yan pa talaga naisip ninyo? (emoji).”
He added: “Pinag lalaban ko kayo tapos hindi pa ninyo inayos. Yan na nga lang ang trabaho ninyo hindi pa ninyo ginalingan.”
Meanwhile, the “Legit Dabarkads” once again sang the Eat Bulaga theme song during the opening number of the noontime show on Saturday. The court has ordered Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) and GMA-7 to stop using the trademarks “EB,” “Eat Bulaga,” and the Eat Bulaga jingle in its shows as the RTC granted the petition of TVJ on its copyright case.
As of press time, TAPE Inc. has yet to issue any statement regarding the new name of their noontime program. The show is currently trending on the microblogging site, X, formerly known as Twitter.
