A photo of Eric Quizon in a public dating group elicits mixed reactions
ERIC QUIZON – A fake Facebook account posing as the son of Dolphy elicited mixed reactions because of his post on a public dating group.
Eric Quizon, whose real name is Enrico Smith Quizon, is an actor, director, producer, writer, and comedian. He is the 10th child of the late comedian-actor Dolphy and Pamela Ponti. Eric has been active in the entertainment industry since 1985 and continues to make significant contributions to Philippine cinema and television.
In addition to his achievements in the entertainment field, Eric is also a co-owner of Café Famous in Greenbelt, Makati. In late 2022, he was chosen to head Net 25’s newest talent management arm, NET25 Star Center.
Eric Quizon’s accolades include winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the FAMAS Awards for “Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit” and the Best Actor award at the Metro Manila Film Festival for “Crying Ladies.” He has been recognized and nominated for various awards, showcasing his talent and versatility in the film industry.
Aside from his successful film career, Eric has also made significant contributions to television, hosting shows like “Ready, Get Set Go!” and “Road Trip.” He has acted in various TV series, including “Sahaya” and “Hanggang Saan.” In the realm of directing, Eric Quizon has helmed projects such as “Quizon CT” for Net 25 and TV series like “Pasión de Amor” and “Enchanted Garden.”
Meanwhile, a fake Facebook account posing as the son of Dolphy elicited mixed reactions because of his post on a public dating group. In the said post, the poser noted: “I’m from Manila, Albay, Philippines… But I live in New York, United States… I’m new here.. hope I’m welcomed.”
It was posted on the public group, Dating in USA. As expected, it generated mixed reactions from the netizens. One netizen wrote: “Scammer alert..how could an actor join here when he can easily get a woman?” Another netizen commented: “Is this for real? I think this is a scam; someone is using his photos. Eric Quizon is one of my favorite actors.”
