Carla Abellana on Kris Aquino’s matchmaking offer
CARLA ABELLANA – Here’s what the actress said when she was asked about her reaction to Kris Aquino’s matchmaking offer to her.
The actress, who is set to star in GMA Network’s upcoming series “Widow’s War” alongside Bea Alonzo, just renewed her contract with the Kapuso Network on Monday morning, January 29, 2024.
At the sidelines of Carla’s contract renewal with GMA Network, Carla was asked about her reaction to Kris Aquino’s matchmaking offer to her.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the actress said that she finds it amusing and at the same time flattering to be thought of. She even considered the matchmaking offer a “compliment”.
“I find it amusing and at the same time nakaka-flatter kasi naiisip niya pa ako. May ganoong nirereto siya, may suggestion siyang ganon. Ok naman. Nakakatuwa!” she said. “In a way compliment pa nga ‘yon. Parang magandang gesture coming from her na meron siyang naiisip para sa akin.”
But Carla admitted that she’s not considering it yet as it’s going to be hard because all the way in the United States and she’s still afraid. According to her, she would sometimes laugh about it and shrug off the idea.
The actress separated from actor Tom Rodriguez a few months after their October 2021 wedding. Tom announced in June 2022 that he and Carla were already divorced.

It can be recalled that the Queen of All Media took to Instagram to share updates about her health.
Carla commented, “Prayers for you, Ms. Kris” in one of Kris Aquino’s posts at that time. In response, Kris told Carla saying “if you’re already in the process of getting annulled we have a doctor friend based in OC who might be a great match.”
