PBBM should undergo a drug test according to Duterte
DRUG TEST – Former President Rodrigo Duterte has challenged President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to take a public drug test in Luneta Park to prove he’s not using drugs.
Duterte suggested both of them get their blood tested by an independent entity or doctor. He also claimed that a Cabinet official uses cocaine with Marcos, and insisted Marcos is on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s watchlist, a claim denied by PDEA.
Duterte, known for his strong stance on the war on drugs, threatened to reveal the PDEA list once he obtains it. This comes after Speaker Martin Romualdez challenged Duterte to provide evidence for his accusation against Marcos.
In a recent prayer rally, Duterte called Marcos “bangag” (high on drugs) and accused him of being a drug addict. Marcos dismissed the accusation, attributing it to the side effects of fentanyl, a drug Duterte admitted using during his presidency.
Meanwhile, according to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid approved by the Food and Drug Administration or FDA for pain relief and anesthesia, emphasizing its highly addictive nature and serious side effects.
The Dutertes and Marcoses are currently making rounds online due to the remarks they have been throwing at each other. Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte also criticized PBBM by calling for his resignation. According to him, Marcos Jr. should “resign” if he lacks love and aspirations for the nation.
The vice president issued an official statement regarding her brother’s remarks against the president. According to her, it can be presumed that her brother is coming from a place of brotherly love, coupled with the common sentiment that she does not deserve the “despicable treatment” that she has been receiving from some sectors within the circle of the President.
Nevertheless, she believes that the people’s vote is a bestowment of trust for her to work and serve exclusively for Filipinos. According to her, along with this trust comes the belief that she can withstand any attack, black propaganda, defamation, and other challenges thrown at her.
