Willie Revillame did not expect millions to tune in to Wowowin’s Pamaskong Regalo
WILLIE REVILLAME – The host of Wowowin expressed his surprise as millions of viewers from around the world tuned in for the limited engagement of Wowowin’s Pamaskong Regalo on Facebook and YouTube. Initially airing from December 18 to December 22, 2023, the show exceeded expectations in terms of reach, engagements, reactions, comments, shares, and views on its first day of live streaming.
Thrilled by the warm reception, Willie conveyed his gratitude to the audience and shared his plans for upcoming games, including “Ayos The Numbers” and “Spin-A-Wheel,” offering contestants a chance to win P30,000 by forming the word “WIN.” The interactive game, with informative and educational questions related to Philippine history, is open for participation to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and students worldwide.
Encouraged by the positive response, Willie enthusiastically promised the return of Wowowin to television in 2024. As per PEP.ph, he emphasized his commitment to avoiding the exploitation of less fortunate Filipinos and expressed joy at bringing happiness and hope to loyal supporters during the Christmas season.
Meanwhile, Willie Revillame is a television host, comedian, drummer, singer, songwriter, actor, and businessman. His career, spanning from 1987 to 2023, has been marked by notable works such as hosting GMA Network’s “Lunch Date” in the late 1980s and becoming part of ABS-CBN’s shows like “Wowowee” and “Masayang Tanghali Bayan.” He also ventured into TV5 with programs like “Willing Willie” and “Wowowillie.”
In 2015, Revillame made a significant return to GMA Network with his weekly-variety program “Wowowin,” which later transitioned into a weekday-variety show due to its immense popularity. However, his contract with GMA Network concluded on February 15, 2022, leading to the final broadcast of “Wowowin” on February 11, 2022. Despite this, Revillame remains an influential figure, known for his dynamic career in the entertainment industry.
