Sharon Cuneta on Vilma Santos’ MMFF win
SHARON CUNETA – Here’s what the Megastar said after Vilma Santos won Best Actress at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 Gabi ng Parangal.
The veteran actress reposted @whenimetyouintokyofilm’s Instagram post congratulating the Star for All Seasons for winning Best Actress as “When I Met You In Tokyo” won 4th Best Picture, Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award for Excellence, and Best Float.
According to a report on ABS-CBN News, the Megastar was nominated as MMFF Best Actress for her performance in “Family of Two”.
In the caption of her social media post, Sharon congratulated Vilma and also expressed her love for her as well. She also congratulated Christopher de Leon – the associate director of the film and also one of the cast members – and told him: “Ikaw yan Bo!”
“And the BEST ACTRESS IS..!!! Congratulations my friend and idol Ate Vi!!! I told you!!! I love you so very much!!!” she said. “@rosavilmasantosrecto HUGELY DESERVED CONGRATS TOO TO Associate Director @sgt.pepper8 Christopher De Leon!!! Ikaw yan Bo!!!”
Netizens also congratulated the Star for All Seasons in the comments section of Sharon’s social media post.
To recall, Vilma admitted in her speech at the MMFF 2023 Gabi ng Parangal that they were not gunning for the acting awards when they made the film. She also said that their advocacy is for the MMFF to be successful and to bring people back to the cinemas at the same time.
“Hindi ko po ine-expect ito,” Vilma said in her speech at that time.

Meanwhile, the Megastar posted a photo of Miles Ocampo and even congratulated her after winning the Best Supporting Actress award for their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie “Family of Two”.
