Qualifications and Requirements for GSIS Enhanced Conso-Loan Plus Offer for Members

One of the biggest government agencies in the country is the GSIS or the Government Service Insurance System. Its member populace is composed of millions of Filipinos who have worked or are currently working in the government.
Every month, through payroll deductions, GSIS members who are still employed submit a monthly contribution or savings to the government agency. Those are no longer in public service make voluntary contributions to keep their accounts active and updated.
Active and updated accounts can qualify a GSIS member to the loans and benefits offered by the government institution. Aside from the GSIS Retirement Benefit programs, the government institution also offers the GSIS Enhanced Conso-Loan Plus Program.
Under the said program, a qualified member may apply for a salary loan that can help pay off or put all his/her existing loans with GSIS under a single loan account. It can waive off penalties of the existing loans. It consolidates the following:
- Salary Loan
- Restructured Salary Loan
- Enhanced Salary Loan
- Emergency Loan Assistance
- Summer One-Month Salary
There is a short list of requirements for the GSIS Enhanced Conso-Loan Plus Program application. To qualify, the member-borrower must meet the following requirements:
- regular active members (permanent and non-permanent)
- with at least 15 years of periods with paid premiums (PPP)
- has no pending administrative or criminal case
- not on a leave of absence without pay
- with a net take-home pay of not less than the amount required under the General Appropriations Act
With regards to the documentary requirements for the GSIS Enhanced Conso-Loan Plus Program application, a member who wish to apply for the loan only need to have his/her eCard or UMID card. The loan offer is available through the GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System (GWAPS) kiosks in all 42 GSIS branch offices nationwide.
