Raymond Gutierrez was mistaken for his twin brother Richard
RAYMOND GUTIERREZ – The well-known host was mistakenly identified as his brother, Richard Gutierrez.
Raymond Kristoffer Gutierrez, known professionally as Raymond Gutierrez, is a Filipino-American TV host, editor, columnist, endorser, entrepreneur, and occasional actor.
Raymond Gutierrez gained recognition as one of the hosts of Pinoy Idol in 2008 and for his role in the television program Showbiz Police. He is part of the prominent Gutierrez showbiz family, being the son of matinee idol Eddie Gutierrez and talent manager Annabelle Rosales Rama-Gutierrez. Among his siblings are his twin brother, Richard Gutierrez, and older sister Ruffa Gutierrez.
In January 2021, Raymond Gutierrez made headlines by publicly coming out as gay in an interview with MEGA Entertainment magazine. His announcement was well-received, and he has since become an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
Later, in a podcast by Wil Dasovich called Superhuman, he revealed that he is now in a relationship. Eventually, he introduced his boyfriend Robert William.
His brother Richard is currently making a buzz online due to his rumored separation from his wife Sarah Lahbati. But a netizen seemed to have mistaken Raymond for Richard.
On Facebook, Rhoi Timothy Dee posted a screenshot of an FB post of Philippine Star featuring Raymond and his boyfriend. In the caption, he noted: “Puro kabaklaan nalang pinapairal mo. Hindi mo man lang naisip si Sarah tsaka mga anak mo.”
The said post earned more than 200,000 reactions, over 8,000 comments, and 11,000 shares as of writing. Many commented that it was Raymond in the picture and not Richard. But it appears that the uploader was just poking fun at the current situation faced by Richard.
Meanwhile, it was during an interview with MJ Felipe that talent manager Annabelle Rama, the mother of Richard, admitted that her son is now staying with her, which somehow confirmed that their marriage is on the rocks.
