Andrea Brillantes’ mother defended by Ogie Diaz
OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager and vlogger defended the mother of Andrea Brillantes after a netizen questioned her parenting methods.
On December 3, Mabel Gorostiza posted about her swimming competition amidst Andrea’s involvement in the KathNiel breakup. A netizen asked, “Papano mo kaya pinalaki si Andrea ‘no?” prompting a strong response from Mabel. “Paano? Napagtapos niya sa school mga kapatid niya, nakapagpagawa ng bahay, may sariling negosyo. Ikaw, anong ambag mo sa mundo?” she boldly replied.
The social media exchange caught attention, and Ogie featured it in his YouTube video “Showbiz Update.” “Kasi nga sinasabi nila na dapat daw ang mga magulang ang nagpo-provide ‘nun sa mga anak at kung magkakaroon man ng ganun ang mga anak ay para sa kanila mismo at hindi para sa mga magulang,” Ogie said. “Jusko! Kailan pa naging krimen, kailan pa naging pangit o hindi maganda ‘yung pagtulong sa pamilya?” he added.
Mama Loi agreed, saying, “Correct. Tsaka hindi lang si Andrea ang gumawa niyan, maraming artista.” Ogie noted, “Nanay naman ni Andrea ‘yun. Kung meron man siyang pamilyang binubuhay, ano naman ang pakialam natim” Ogie defended Andrea’s actions, stating that if someone wants to pay back and give back to their parents, they shouldn’t be stopped.
He added: “Sa mga panahon ngayon, nasa mga anak na ‘yan kung paano kayo makakatanaw [ng utang na loob] at makakaganti at makakabawi sa inyong parents. Sa totoo lang, saludo ako kay Andrea…sa akin, very noble ‘yun.”
Meanwhile, Ogie Diaz faced heavy criticism before KathNiel confirmed their separation after stating that a source told him Andrea and Daniel were secretly seeing each other. Due to this, he was accused of being a fake news peddler.
As of press time, Andrea has yet to address rumors involving her and Daniel.
