A product of Maya Bank, Maya Savings lets you start a savings account in the app where you can keep your money secure while your money earns interest that is based on your average daily balance per annum.
You need to upgrade your account first before using Maya Savings and the rest of Maya’s features on the app. In addition, upgrading your account is free and it shouldn’t take long.
Below are the steps on how to transfer your funds from your Maya Savings to another user’s Maya Savings:
The first step is to open the app, go to your Maya Savings account, and tap “Transfer my money”. After that, you need to select “Maya Savings” as the account destination under “Transfer to others”.
Next, you need to enter the account name, number of the destination account, the amount, and the purpose. You need to review the transfer details and then tap “Transfer” once done.
The next step is to enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number, if prompted. After that, you may view your receipt or go back to your Savings account.
As a product of Maya Bank, you can easily transfer your funds to your wallet and to other bank accounts through PESONet (with InstaPay coming soon). Also, there’s no minimum maintaining balance there and you can deposit your money on your Savings account as much as you want.
