Mariel Padilla described her hiatus from showbiz as “indefinite leave”
MARIEL PADILLA – The former Kapamilya host has confirmed that she’s on “indefinite leave” from show business.
She said this when she was interviewed by ABS-CBN News on the sidelines of the the Shopee Super Awards dinner last December 6, 2023. According to her, she’s opting to focus on growing her business and raising her kids.
Mariel is very visible online by doing live selling of branded shoes, bags, and other items at the moment.
She and her husband, Senator Robin Padilla, have two children named Isabella and Gabriela.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the former Kapamilya host said that she gets to do what she likes to do but she also gets to do what she’s supposed to be doing. She also said that she gets to stay at home and handle her own time, adding that she’s there on all the milestones of her children.
“It’s so much fun mainly because I get to do what I like to do which is talking, I get to talk. But at the same time, I get to do what I’m supposed to be doing, which is taking care of my family,” Marian said. “I get to stay at home, I handle my own time and I am there on all the milestones of my kids.”
Marian described her showbiz hiatus as “an indefinite leave” and she would entertain a possible comeback in show business when her children are older. According to her, she’s savoring the moment that her children do need her.
Between her and her husband, Mariel shared that her task in their family is to take care of their kids.
The celebrity couple has gone through a number of criticisms in the past years. She said she’s unbothered by what people say against her husband’s foray into politics most of the time.
