Marco Gumabao on six-year-age gap with Cristine Reyes
MARCO GUMABAO – The actor recently talked about his six-year age gap with his girlfriend, actress Cristine Reyes.
The actor shared that it’s a non-issue for them and their close circle of friends with the same situation even though netizens are quick to point out his six-year-age gap with her.
“Actually, tawang tawa kami kasi lagi kaming magkakasama, sila Dom, Bea, Cristine, tapos we have another non-showbiz couple na friends namin and kaming mga boys, kami yung mga mas bata talaga,” he said. “So lagi namin inaasar sila na parang nasa bata ang true love (laughs). Siyempre asar asaran lang pero malay niyo totoo talaga (laughs).”
In a report on PUSH, the actor declined to answer when he was asked if his girlfriend was affected by her past relationships, especially with her ex-husband Al Khatibi from whom she filed for annulment from in 2018.
The actor shared that it’s normal to have bad experiences with past relationships and every person’s relationships are different. According to him, he’s not the typical artist who will just fool her or just take advantage of her.
Marco also admitted that things are going smoothly for them even though it really changed how he viewed his life and future.
Describing Cristine’s daughter as “very outgoing”, “people person”, “very talkative”, and “very fun to talk to”, the actor said that it was very easy to build a relationship with Amarah. But when he was asked if he was already practicing how to be a father to Amarah, he didn’t deny that he was already up to the task.
Meanwhile, Marco shared during the Cathy Valencia Skin Clinic 18th anniversary and thanksgiving birthday celebration held in Pasay City about how his “unexpected” love story with the actress started.
At that time, he said that his relationship with Cristine turned out to be the best surprise of his life.
