Steps on DOST Scholarship Online Application Guide for Students
DOST SCHOLARSHIP ONLINE APPLICATION – Here are the steps in applying for the undergraduate studies scholarship offers of the Department of Science and Technology.
Are you one of the students who are looking for a scholarship that can help fund your studies starting next year? Or you might be one of the parents who are in the search of scholarship opportunities for your child to financially assist you in your child’s college years.
One of the government entities that you may turn to is the Department of Science and Technology or more popularly called DOST. In fact, its scholarships are among the most popular of its kind in the Philippines. It has scholarship offers for undergraduate studies and there are DOST Scholarship cash allowance and benefits for scholars. Here are the qualifications in applying for the scholarship offers:
- natural-born Filipino citizen
- poor, talented and deserving student who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of certain indicators
- graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2023-2024
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the class based on Grade 11 ranking
- graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2023-2024 and did not enroll in college yet
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
- graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class
- of good moral character and in good health
- has not earned any college units
- do not have any post-high school vocational units
- has not applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before, has applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before but did not qualify for the scholarship, or has qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award
You may go for the DOST scholarship online application. The application period started last October 17, 2023 and the last day of the application and uploading of requirements is on December 31, 2023. The qualifying exam is set on April 6-7, 2024.
Before the DOST scholarship online application process, it is best to get ready with the following information:
- Father’s Annual Gross Income
- Mother’s Annual Gross Income
- If applicant is married, Spouse’s Annual Gross Income
- If Legal Guardian is supporting Applicant, Legal Guardian’s Annual Gross Income
- If family receives contribution from outside source: the giver, the amount of the contribution and the purpose of the contribution
- If family owns agricultural land: how many hectares
- If family owns vehicle: type, year and model
Step 1 — Using your valid e-mail address, register to the E-Application of the DOST. If you already have an account, log in to your account.
Step 2 — Open the email sent to you and answer the questions in the Eligibility Module.
Step 3 — Proceed to the next modules such as the following:
- Student Information Questionnaire
- Personal Data
- Contact Information
- Family Data
- Financial Contribution
- Household Information Questionnaire
- School Information
Step 4 — Prepare the requirements for DOST Scholarship for undergraduate studies in digital copies (in .jpeg, .png, .bmp, and .pdf file types only). Upload your documentary requirements.
Step 5 — For successful applications, you will proceed to the selection of the location of the test center. Your preferred location will be the basis on the location where you will be assigned to take the qualifying examination.
Step 6 — Review the information on your modules. Once all information are already correct, press “Submit”.
