DANIEL MATSUNAGA – The former PBB housemate received hate messages amid the breakup of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, popularly known as KathNiel.

On November 30, Kathryn confirmed the end of her 11-year relationship with Daniel Padilla through an Instagram post. Sharing an old photo, she declared the “chapter closed” and expressed gratitude for the 11 years that brought her joy and adventure. Addressing their fan base, KathNiel, Kathryn acknowledged their hurt and emphasized the need for understanding and collective healing.

Daniel, on the other hand, expressed his eternal love for KathNiel fans and embraced the future despite the challenges. The popular love team, established during their collaboration on “Growing Up,” had numerous successful projects, including the 2014 film “She’s Dating the Gangster” and the 2018 film “The Hows of Us.” Their last series, “2 Good 2 Be True,” premiered in 2023, and they were set to reunite in a movie directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina in 2024.

Amid the breakup of KathNiel, Daniel Matsunaga received hate messages from netizens. He took to Instagram to share the hate messages, noting, “guys there are many Daniels sa buong mundo.

Meanwhile, Daniel is a Brazilian-Filipino former model, actor, professional footballer, host, and businessman. He started his career as a model and became known in the Philippines by appearing in Cosmopolitan Philippines’ “Cosmo Men” supplement in September 2009. He transitioned to acting and appeared in television dramas, including GMA Network’s “The Last Prince” and ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Big Brother,” where he emerged as the winner of the All In season in 2014.

Apart from his entertainment career, Matsunaga also played football professionally, competing in the United Football League (UFL) in the Philippines, representing teams such as Team Socceroo, Pachanga Diliman, and Kaya.
