ALDEN RICHARDS on IT’S SHOWTIME – TVJ has reacted to the guest appearance of Asia’s Multimedia Star on the Kapamilya noontime show.

Alden Richards, whose real name is Richard Reyes Faulkerson Jr., is an actor, host, ambassador, recording artist, product endorser, producer, and entrepreneur. He earned the nickname “The Asia’s Multimedia Star” after receiving the Asian Star Prize awards at the 14th Seoul International Drama Awards in 2019 for his acting skills.

Alden gained popularity when he was paired with Maine Mendoza, forming the AlDub loveteam that captured the hearts of many. Some of his notable works include Tween Hearts, One True Love, Carmela, The Road, Ilustrado, Imagine You and Me, Victor Magtanggol, Hello, Love, Goodbye, The Gift, The World Between Us, and Start-Up PH.

It was just recently when Alden Richards guested on It’s Showtime. The actor-model appeared on the noontime program to promote his movie Family Of Two (A Mother And Son Story) starring Megastar Sharon Cuneta. His appearance on the show was widely discussed on social media, with some asking what might be the reaction of TVJ or the triumvirate of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

During the media conference of TVJ on TV5 on December 6, Wednesday, former Senator Tito Sotto mentioned that it’s okay with them if Alden appears on It’s Showtime and promotes his film on the noontime show, considering he is a contract star of GMA-7. “Contract star ng GMA si Alden, alangan namang hindi siya mag-promote dun? No problema with that at all,” Sotto said.

The former senator said that Alden Richards is also welcome if ever the former Dabarkads decide to promote his movie on E.A.T, the noontime show of TVJ on the Kapatid network. “Si Alden pa!” Sotto said.
