Polo Ravales: “Supposedly dapat meron kaming kissing scene pero parang medyo bawal.”
POLO RAVALES – The actor opened up about the intimate scene with fellow actor Rob Gomez on Kapuso primetime series “Lovers/Liars”.
The actor currently stars in “Lovers/Liars” – a collaboration project with Regal Entertainment and GMA Network. Other cast members include Optimum Star Claudine Barretto, Yasser Marta, Lianne Valentin, Rob Gomez, Shaira Diaz, Kimson Tan, and more.
Polo appeared on Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he talked about his role in the Kapuso primetime series.
He said in an interview with talk show Boy Abunda that he treats love scenes as simply another part of his work, even with a male partner.
The actor is so focused on nailing the intimate scene with fellow actor Rob Gomez that he brought his fiancée to the set as another set of eyes in order to make sure that he’s doing everything right.
“Gusto ko kasing malaman kung tama ‘yung attack namin so ang ginawa ko ‘yung fiancée ko pinaupo ko sa tabi ng director. ‘Pag kinilig siya doon sa eksena ibig sabihin meron kaming chemistry ni Rob,” Polo said. “’Pag ‘cut’ nung director, nagtatawanan sila. Kinikilig silang dalawa nung director.”
Polo Ravales is no stranger to filming intimate scenes with fellow actors, having worked on the “Manay Po” movies in 2006 and 2008. Luis Alandy was the first male actor with whom Polo had an on-screen kiss.
But compared the scenes he worked on before, the actor said that his intimate scene with Rob was actually lighter than similar scenes he had done before.
“Supposedly dapat meron kaming kissing scene pero parang medyo bawal. So ginawa na lang na parang pisil sa puwet,” Polo said in an interview with Boy Abunda.
To recall, Rob Gomez admitted GMA News Online in a media conference for the Kapuso primetime series that he couldn’t help but feel nervous when he and Polo Ravales were about to shoot the intimate scene.
