Leren Mae Bautista on “laundry” posts
LEREN MAE BAUTISTA – The councilor of Los Baños, Laguna made a clarification about the “laundry” posts she posted on Instagram Stories.
It can be recalled that she posted on Instagram Stories where she told her boyfriend “Wag ka maglaba, ako na.” Aside from this, she also posted a photo of a laundry basket filled with soiled clothed and a red star at the top.
Leren’s remarks were then speculated to be an apparent dig at actress Andrea Brillantes, who revealed last July that an unnamed ex-partner’s inability to do the laundry for a year helped her move on.
The beauty queen clarified during a brief chat with Ogie Diaz on his vlog last November 26 that her “laundry” posts were meant to be a joke between her and her boyfriend in a way to either amuse their followers on social media.
Leren also said that she and Ricci opted to view the term “laundry” as a joke instead of focusing on the negative remarks of bashers regarding her relationship with her boyfriend.
“We’re just making fun of us na lang. Kasi nga, di ba, parang na-quote na rin na si ano [Ricci] ay hindi naglalaba. So, parang kami, ‘Sige, let’s just make fun of this na lang.’” she said. “Kasi kawawa din naman siya since ganun nga yung tingin ng tao sa kanya na parang hindi nga daw siya naglalaba.”
The beauty queen-turned-politician was also asked about the backlash after the confirmation of her romance with the basketball player, According to her, she and her boyfriend opted to focus on their respective careers as a way of showing who they are.
It was last October when Ricci confirmed his relationship with Leren, while asserting that the beauty queen was not the third party touted to be the cause of his split with the actress.
