Heart Evangelista: “Marian and I, we’ve always liked each other”
HEART EVANGELISTA – The actress and global fashion icon recently spoke about her renewed friendship with Marian Rivera.
Marian and Heart last worked together in 2011 for the comedy movie “Temptation Island” with Solenn Heussaff, Rufa Mae Quinto, and Lovi Poe. They have not been seen together since then, leading their fans to speculate that the two may not be on good terms.
Heart attended fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, and New York over the last few weeks, while Marian is currently working on her upcoming series “Against All Odds” with actor Gabby Concepcion.
The fashionista said in an interview with GMA Network’s Aubrey Carampel at a fashion event that she and Marian have always been okay as individuals and both of them have mutual friends, adding that she also said that her sister and Marian have been talking for a while.
According to Heart, she really appreciates Marian’s “very strong character” and her kindness and heart. She also confirmed that she and Marian talk and message each other.
“Ayoko na ng kaaway, honestly. Real queens support each other. It’s a testament that it’s really the people around us that makes things bad,” she said. “Sometimes that person’s not our real enemy. It’s the people around that makes it worse. So, I’m happy.”
Heart Evangelista was also asked if there’s a chance for her and Marian Rivera to work on a project together, she said that she doesn’t know as they’re both busy.
To recall, Heart renewed her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center during an event at The Residences at the Westin Manila in Pasig City last August.
She talked about her dream role at that time, saying that she’s hoping to have a challenging role as she wants a role that she has been preparing for all her life to give her a reason why she has been through a lot personally.
It was in October when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Heart and Marian followed each other on Instagram.
