Claudine Barretto on her comeback project: “Siguro sa seven years na hindi ako gumawa ng teleserye, siguro 101 percent if not a million percent ang ibibigay ko rito”
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – The Optimum Star shared that she chose the upcoming Kapuso primetime series “Lovers/Liars” as her comeback project.
The actress has returned to acting after 7 years as she’s set to star in the upcoming Kapuso primetime series “Lovers/Liars” – a collaboration series of GMA Network and Regal Entertainment.
She will play the role of “Via Laurente” – a CEO of a big real estate company who gets entangled in an illicit affair with a younger man, her company’s architect named “Caloy Marasigan” (Yasser Marta).
During the media conference for the upcoming series, Claudine shared the reason why “Lovers/Liars” is “perfect” for her showbiz comeback.
The actress said that “Lovers/Liars” is very different from what she has done before. She added that the only thing she can really promise is that she’ll be able to give “siguro 101 percent if not a million percent” to the series.
“Ever since talaga ang forte ko teleserye. So it has to be kung ano ‘yung range ko, kung ano ‘yung mga pinagdadaanan ng mga babae na ka-age ko, ‘yun ‘yung gusto kong gawin ngayon, ‘yung mga roles,” she said. “Ibang-iba siya kasi matapang at saka maraming mga sikreto na hindi mo makikita sa regular talaga na teleserye.”
Claudine also shared she looks forward to portraying the role for the series, saying that she was excited because she was able to play a CEO in one of her teleseryes before but there was no illicit affair.
According to her, the difference in “Lovers/Liars” is that there are many secrets and lies, and so she’s more excited because her character in the series is braver.
Other cast members include Rob Gomez, Shaira Diaz, Polo Ravales, Kimson Tan, Michelle Vito, Christian Vasquez, and many more. The upcoming series will air on GMA Telebabad on November 20, 2023 at 9:35 pm.
