The Social Security System is an entity that many Filipinos can turn to in times of need for a financial solution. The state-run social insurance agency has several loan offers that serve different purposes that members may apply for.
Aside from the SSS Housing Loan 2023, another offer of the Social Security System is the Salary Loan, a multi-purpose cash loan. It aims to help address the short-term financial needs of the members who are qualified under the loan offer.
As mentioned earlier, the SSS Salary Loan 2023 is only open for qualified members of the Social Security System. For qualification to the loan offer, the member-borrower must meet the following eligibility criteria for application:
- member must be below 65 years old
- member must have posted at least 36 monthly contributions with six (6) of which posted within the last 12 months before the filing of the loan application
- if locally employed, the employer must be updated in the payment of contributions
- member must have not received a final benefit from the SSS
- must have not been disqualified due to fraud against SSS

Personal Loan Application. If you or the member-borrower himself/herself will file the loan application to SSS, here are the SSS Salary Loan requirements 2023 that he/she must submit to the state institution for application:

Loan Filing by an Authorized Representative. In case you cannot leave work or you will be away at the time of the filing of the loan application or any other acceptable reason that you can’t do the filing personally, it can be done by an authorized representative. However, there are additional requirements. Here are the documents needed for SSS Salary Loan 2023 application:
- duly-accomplished SSS Member Loan Application Form
- SSS-issued Authorized Company Representative (ACR) card
- Letter of Authority (LOA) from employer
- two (2) valid IDs both with signature and at least one with photo
- Member-borrower’s SS card or Application for SS card (SS Form E-6) acknowledgment stub and two (2) valid IDs
Loan Filing by Company/Employer’s Representative. The loan applications of locally-employed individuals may be filed by the representative of the company or employer. Here are the SSS Salary Loan requirements 2023 under it:
