LUIS MANZANO – The television host has garnered praise for using sign language while engaging with a studio audience member who had a hearing disability on the show ‘It’s Your Lucky Day.’

Luis shared the story behind this heartwarming moment and revealed his knowledge of sign language. He described how he observed Lester, a member of the audience seated in the gallery, making signs and gestures.

Luis noticed that Lester was trying to convey that he couldn’t hear. Despite being uncertain if Lester was completely deaf or hard of hearing, Luis communicated with him through sign language, even encouraging Lester to dance.

Luis disclosed that he learned sign language as part of his high school curriculum at Colegio San Agustin and had continued to practice it. He admitted that while it might not have been perfect, he did his best, and he believed that he and Lester could understand each other.

Regarding ‘It’s Your Lucky Day,’ which began its limited run on October 14, 2023, Luis expressed gratitude for the positive feedback from viewers. He noted that the show had received 99% positive feedback and mentioned that despite its limited run, they were savoring every moment. While Luis expressed hope for the show’s continuation in a different time slot if ‘It’s Showtime’ returns, he acknowledged that the decision would ultimately rest with ABS-CBN’s management.

Luis expressed his appreciation to the viewers for their support and emphasized that they might not match the popularity of ‘Showtime’ but would continue doing their best for their audience, whether they were Kapamilya, Kapuso, Kapatid, or viewers from A2Z.

According to PEP.ph, if ABS-CBN’s management decides to continue ‘It’s Your Lucky Day due to the positive feedback, Luis readily expressed his enthusiasm for it, recognizing that it would not only provide more enjoyment for him but also create additional job opportunities, making it a happier prospect.
