Jeremy Jauncey to Pia Wurtzbach: “Despite even as early as this year being told you’d never make it to fashion weeks and your best years were behind you, you did.”
JEREMY JAUNCEY – The travel entrepreneur revealed that his wife Pia Wurtzbach was told she would “never make it to fashion weeks”.
The beauty queen finally made it to Paris Fashion Week this year. However, it turned out that her journey wasn’t easy on her.
Jeremy posted a photo of his wife’s look during her Paris Fashion Week debut on his social media account and also revealed her three-year struggle to make it to the European fashion scene.
The travel entrepreneur said that Pia is a person with a “passionate, relentless, undefeatable” drive to achieve something and she also has the ability to push against the odds, to take a risk when others tell her no, and to chase a dream no matter how far away it seems.
In the caption of his social media post, Jeremy shared that they had no network, no opportunities and no credibility when his wife told him three years ago that she wanted to break into European fashion.
He added that he has been with his wife as she worked every angle, took every meeting, “trusted many who promised so much and delivered so little”.
“But quietly, under the radar, you grinded. And grinded. And grinded. And despite even as early as this year being told you’d never make it to fashion weeks and your best years were behind you, you did,” he said to his wife. “And you delivered. To a level even we didn’t hope for in our wildest dreams.”
Jeremy ended his social media post by telling Pia that he’s proud of her. He also said that while social media only shows the glitz and the glamour, one should never forget that every story starts somewhere.
Before gracing Paris, the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder was at the Milan Fashion Week, generating high media impact value along with Liza Soberano and Heart Evangelista. The beauty queen also graced the Cannes Film Festival red carpet as well.
It was last March when Jeremy and Pia got married in an intimate beach wedding in Seychelles, East Africa.
