Jake Cuenca Says He Wants To Do Stage Play On His Birthday Than Throw A Party

Jake Cuenca: “Rather than throw a party, I want to perform”

JAKE CUENCA – The “The Iron Heart” actor said that he would rather do a stage play on his birthday than throw a party.

The Kapamilya actor currently stars in “The Iron Heart” with Richard Gutierrez, Sofia Andres, Albert Martinez, and more.

In an interview with Inquirer Entertainment, Jake said that he’s looking for a stage play to mount and star in on December – his birth month. The actor said he loves what he does and he’s the type of actor who needs to constantly do it, adding that he feels like he’s “regressing” if he’s not doing it.

According to him, he certainly has to do a play if he’s not doing a TV show or a movie.

“I love what I do. I’m the type of actor who needs to constantly do it. If I’m not doing it, I feel like I’m regressing. So if I’m not doing a movie or TV show, I certainly have to do a play,” the actor said. “I’m looking for a new play to do, especially on my birthday. Rather than throw a party, I want to perform.”

Jake, Richard, and “The Iron Heart” lead director Lester Pimentel Ong spent a week in Japan to film the finale of the 2nd season of their show. “The Iron Heart” will be replaced by “Can’t Buy Me Love” on October 16, 2023.

The actor chose to walk solo on the red carpet instead of going with actress Chie Filomeno at the recent ABS-CBN Ball 2023. He said in an interview with Inquirer Entertainment that it’s very important for him that Chie has her moment on the red carpet and she gets to show herself.

Jake has been dating Chie since early this year. He said in an interview with entertainment reporters last September that the actress was his “TOTGA” or “the one that got away”.
