Andrea Torres on working with Bea Alonzo: “Ang hirap noong una”
ANDREA TORRES – The Kapuso star admitted during a recent interview with “Asia’s King of Talk,” Boy Abunda that she initially had a hard time working with the “Queen of Philippine Primetime Television,” Bea Alonzo.
Andrea Torres is an artist known for her roles in acting, singing, hosting, dancing, and modeling. She started out as a contestant on ABS-CBN’s teen-oriented reality show “Qpids” in 2005. Apart from television, Andrea starred in Cambodian and Argentinian films. In 2022, she received acclaim for her portrayal of Sisa in the historical fantasy series “Maria Clara at Ibarra.” Her career continues to thrive, with her latest project being the teleserye “Love Before Sunrise.”
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Andrea confessed that she has long admired Bea as an actress, and now, they are working together in the teleserye “Love Before Sunrise,” where Andrea plays the antagonist opposite Bea.
When asked by Boy Abunda about her experience, she responded: “Ang hirap noong una, Tito Boy. Sinabi ko nga noong una sa kaniya, e. Bakit ganoon noong siya na ‘yung kaeksena ko parang ang dami mong iniisip bigla? Nag-overthink ka. Siguro kasi, ito na ‘yun. This is the moment. Dati kasi siyempre inaaral mo ‘yung mga movies niya. Nagde-dream ka pa lang na makasama siya tapos ngayon kaharap mo na. May starstruck factor, Tito Boy.”
Tito Boy followed up with, “Paano mo na-overcome ‘yun?” Andrea mentioned that it was partly due to the numerous scenes they shared together and Bea’s kindness. Andrea appreciated Bea’s efforts to make her feel comfortable and not intimidated on set.
Tito Boy concurred with Andrea’s sentiments and shared that he had seen Bea’s acting prowess when they had previously worked together. According to Andrea, there were moments when she was so captivated by Bea’s acting that she would pause to watch her co-actress perform.
