Yeng Constantino: “Na-realize ko lang na hindi pa ako handa talaga.”
YENG CONSTANTINO – The singer-songwriter recently shared the reason why she and her husband have yet to build their own family.
The singer-songwriter is the celebrity guest in Ogie Diaz’s vlog where she opened up about why she and Victor Asuncion have yet to build their own family. The couple have been married for 8 years already.
Yeng said in an interview with Ogie Diaz that as a couple, her and her husband’s original intention was to start a family 2 years after they tied the knot.
The 2nd anniversary arrived, but the singer-songwriter confessed she still didn’t feel prepared for it. She added that she decided to talk to her husband about it.
“Sabi ko, ‘Love, delayed ako ilang araw na. Paano kung buntis ako?’ Tapos nakatingin siya sa akin. Sabi niya, ‘Ikaw anong nararamdaman mo?’ Sabi ko, ‘Hindi ko alam. Parang hindi pa yata ako handa.’ Tapos lumaon po ‘yung trip namin, delayed nga lang po talaga ako. Na-realize ko lang na hindi pa ako handa talaga,” she shared.
According to her, she feels she’s currently in a phase of prioritizing enjoyment in life and having become aware of responsibilities at a very early age.
But the singer-songwriter acknowledged that her priority is to provide a financially secure life for her future child. She also said that she and her husband are really working hard to prepare whatever the need will be in the future.
Yeng went on to share that she’s just really grateful for her incredibly supportive husband who truly understands her needs. According to her, it’s nice to have that kind of person in one’s life who won’t force the person to do something he/she knows he/she doesn’t want.
In the same interview, she also spoke about the songs she wrote for her fellow artists.
The singer-songwriter said some of the songs she wrote are Angeline Quinto’s song “At Ang Hirap”, Sarah Geronimo and Piolo Pascual’s song “Paano Ba Ang Magmahal”, Erik Santos’s song “Sino Ba Ako Sa’yo?”, and Jaya’s song “Kasalanan”.
