NERI MIRANDA – The actress-turned-businesswoman turned to social media to defend her P1K weekly meal plan after receiving backlash from netizens.
Recently, Chito Miranda’s wife used Facebook to share a sample of her weekly meal plan with a budget of P1000. In the post’s caption, she noted, “Para sa mga nanay na mamamalengke bukas pagkatapos ihatid ang mga bata sa school, eto na, pakiprint na po eto, kumpleto pati palengke list.” She added, “Nag-try akong magbudget ng P1,000 for a week. Kung may sukli pa yan, pwede pangdagdag merienda o baon ng mga bata.”
However, her post generated mixed reactions from netizens, with some asking for the exact breakdown of her meal plan and others inquiring if it’s suitable for one person or more. After facing backlash, she explained and defended her P1k meal plan.
In a series of responses to netizens, Neri Miranda stressed that the meal plan she posted is just a sample. She also advised readers to plant vegetables in the backyard and raise animals so they could have food stock, such as eggs from chickens.

Apparently, her post has been deleted, but she continues to receive backlash despite its removal. Some netizens were able to secure a copy of it and share it on social media, giving their opinions.
